Crystal Bay
Crystal Bay, along with Gamat Bay, stands out as one of the top snorkeling destinations in Nusa Penida. To explore the enchanting coral and marine life of this stunning spot, you can conveniently rent snorkeling gear from one of the beach warungs. Here, you are likely to spot turtles as well as a diverse range of fish and colorful coral. However, it is crucial to exercise caution as the current can be quite strong at the end of the bay.
Gamat Bay beach
If you want to snorkel from Gamat Bay beach, you can bring your own equipment or rent some on the road, just before parking your scooter. And do not forget the fins because the currents can be very strong, as often in Nusa Penida island. Do not go too far from the beach and be very careful, especially if there is no boat in front of the beach. We have already rescued with our diving boat a woman who was snorkeling and was being driven out to sea. Fun fact, she was very worried about her husband (“Help me, where is my husband ?”) who was quietly waiting for her at the beach … But if you respect all these instructions snorkeling is indeed very nice !
Kelingking beach
Kelingking beach is a secret point in Nusa Penida. There is a spot called Manta Point here, where you could dive around and witness manta rays the biggest sting ray ever. Brave your fear and swim freely with them. Find a whole different level of diving sensation here. The view of the landscape is also breathtaking and beautiful

Angel’s Billabong
Billabong is an Australian term that usually refers to a remote pool left behind after a river’s course has changed. Here, it is a natural pool embedded in the cliff. It is filled with clear water at high tide. And natural pools appear at low tide. The water is very clear and quite fun to swim at low tide. But when the water is high, or when the waves are big, as soon as the first wave enters the pool, you should get out immediately. I saw tourists out of balance with the waves. And they were lucky not to be swept away by the waves outside the pool, because then it would be almost impossible to get back. Trust me, it happens.
